Who says you can’t have a #BestWoman and a #WomanOfHonour? It used to be a tradition that the groom is supported by a best man
and the bride supported by her favourite girls on the big day. But in recent years we’ve seen traditions change and have had lots of couples being accompanied by opposite members of sex.
So I decided to browse through my Facebook this morning and guess what? My beautiful cousin Uche Matilda Nkem was the #BestWoman at the wedding of her friend. If not out of courtesy, I would have said, she looked more beautiful than the celebrants.
Then I turned to the Wedding Ideas Forum and her Facebook page to see what our readers had to say about her outfit. A surprising number had banished this tradition to make way for something that suited their day #BestWoman. Which goes to show that what a man can do, a woman can do even better.
Do you agree?
